Understanding the impact of the healthcare environment on patient harm

I am a Masters graduate from the University of Surrey and currently working towards a Ph.D.  in the faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Southampton. I am also the Director of Estates, Facilities & Capital Development at the University Hospital of Southampton

 

The research I am currently undertaking is focused on understanding the impact relationship between backlog maintenance and patient outcomes within the acute sector of NHS England. It is hoped that this research will set a foundation for greater study and understanding of the impact of the built environment on the patient journey.

This website has been set up to both inform people on the progress of the research as it develops, and act as a data source for those involved in the research.
