ABOUT ME

Since joining the NHS in 2009, I have had the privilege to work for five NHS organizations across the South East of England and London, starting my NHS career as Head of Catering Services for Guy's and St. Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.

Over the last nine years I have worked as the Director of Estates and Facilities at Trusts across the south coast of England, currently leading the team at the University Hospital of Southampton since the start of 2020. I am also a Fellow of the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estates Management (IHEEM).

Having completed my bachelors degree at the University of Huddersfield in 1994, I returned to academia in 2007 to undertake my MBA at the University of Surrey.

In 2021 I commenced the doctoral research program at the University of Southampton to research a field that almost all directors of estates within the NHS battle with on a daily basis - backlog maintenance.

In my spare time I am a mentor both within and without the NHS.
