Back after a short 'Hiatus'

Due to a recent and very unforeseen health issue I had to pause my studies briefly. As such I have not been posting on either my website or LinkedIn. However, this week sees my return to study in earnest.

The return to the research was re-invigorated by spending a wonderful afternoon at the University of Southampton Doctoral Research Poster Showcase. With over 80 doctoral candidates showcasing their research, it was a good way to immerse myself once again into the academic arena.

The research showcase was wide and diverse, with contacts being made not only in fields of architecture and other sectors of healthcare, but also with researchers looking into the field of robotic pet companions, and the application of sensors not only in their work but how it could also reach into the built environment to allow the environment to react and respond to human interaction as much as a robotic pet would do.

I was also given the opportunity to showcase my research and the three stage methodology I am adopting to better understand the impact of backlog maintenance on the patient.

A copy of my research presentation is attached

As always, I welcome people’s comments and thoughts.

Keep well
